Your field experience with LCCE is your opportunity to put your training into practice. You will be placed at a U.S. summer camp where you will gain valuable experience working with children and youth. Working at a camp can be tough work, but you’ll find the rewards to be more than you imagined. You’ll build lifelong friendships with fellow staff and most importantly, you will have the opportunity to be a positive role model and make a lasting impact on your campers.

Being responsible for a group of children and facilitating activities at camp will help you put your leadership skills to practice. The knowledge and experience you gain at camp will be applicable to your future leadership positions, no matter what the area may be.
