We design and facilitate training sessions related to leadership development, cultural awareness and adjustment, and youth development and programming. Our sessions offer participants the opportunity to explore training topics through quality presentations, meaningful interactive sessions, and an emphasis on practical application.
We believe a multi-faceted training program that blends a variety of teaching methods is most effective at serving a diverse group of learners. Within the Leader Campus, we utilize the following techniques to deliver training topics and encourage reflective learning:
Lecture
Allows for information to be distributed efficiently in a direct, logical manner.
Guest Speakers
Offers a new perspective and a different delivery style, as well as the opportunity for participants to learn from the unique personal and professional experiences of guest speakers.
Active Learning
Utilizes group activities and discussions to engage participants in the application of key topics and learning objectives.
Instructional Technology
Incorporates the use of multi-media within the classroom setting, including PowerPoint, video, etc., as well as the use of multi-media projects and assignments.
Experiential Learning
Team and skill-building activities used to relate training to real-world application.
E-Learning
Provides learners with an opportunity to access information and complete assignments on-line, allowing for continuous engagement in learning objectives and self-paced study.
We utilize an e-learning system that can be used as a full on-line training program or as a supplement to our live training sessions. Participants can access training presentations, additional readings, handouts, and other training materials. They can also view instructions for assignments, as well as complete those assignments through the on-line system.
Additional useful features of the e-learning system include:
- Use of calendar for important dates and automated reminders.
- Digital library of course resources and presentations.
- Electronic newsletter distribution.
- Individual user log-in for each participant.
- Tracking of assignment completion for each participant.
