Your immersion into a new culture will help you develop cultural competence and understanding of the world outside of the United States. Through homestays, authentic cultural experiences, and personal relationships, you will take a step beyond the regular tourist experience.
Part of your experience will include your involvement in a service project to benefit a local community or organization. You'll be amazed by the impact you can have when you put your time and talents to work in serving others.
With both your fellow LCGE participants and those you meet at your host site, you will develop close relationships as you experience new adventures and create lifelong memories together.
As a Global Experience participant, you will act as an ambassador of your home community and culture. Just as you will learn about a new culture, you will also be able to teach others about your culture.
